CRWROPPS Post: Borderlands Texas Poetry Review

Borderlands Development Director Borderlands Texas Poetry Review, an Austin-based poetry journal established in 1992, seeks a development director to maintain current funding requirements, and seek new sources of funding to help grow the journal. This is currently a volunteer position; your time counts as an in-kind donation to the organization. Borderlands is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit.  Position Description * Act as primary lead on cultural arts applications, as well as primary contact with City of Austin (COA) Cultural Arts Division (CAD) staff, COA purchasing staff, and COA ADA staff. * Secure and coordinate match funding (cash and in-kind) to meet cultural contracts mandates * Identify and explore funding and other opportunities for the journal * Manage and coordinate follow-up with cultural contracts administrators and other relevant grant-related personnel * In collaboration with Administrative and Production Directors, act as liaison between organizations, funders, donors, partners, supporters and other relevant parties * Support the mission of Borderlands  Preferred Qualifications * Experience with grant writing * Experience working with literary journals or related organizations in either a paid or volunteer capacity * Experience working with nonprofits in either a paid or volunteer capacity * Due to current funding requirements and plans for in-person events when it is safe to do so, residence within the greater Austin area is preferred  If interested, please submit a resume and cover letter by Monday, February 1st at 11:59 pm.
