Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania Book Prize

Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania is holding its inaugural post-publication book prize. The award includes a $750 honorarium for a reading an on-campus reading on April 2, 2020. The prize will rotate between poetry and prose. This year we are accepting work from poets.

Guidelines:

• Poets who have published a book in the last two years (CY 2018 and 2019) may submit must submit one copy of the published book. Books will not be returned. However, non-winning poets may be considered for other reading opportunities.
• There is a $20 reading. Include a check payable to "Bloomsburg University Foundation."
• Include a brief cover letter with full contact information including postal address, email, and phone number.
• Winner must agree to a reading at Bloomsburg University on advertised date.
• Books should be at least forty pages and have been published by an established press. Self-published books or books in e-book only formats are not eligible.
• Employees of Bloomsburg University are not eligible, nor are former students of the current English Department faculty.
• Faculty and students of the Bloomsburg University creative writing program will screen entries. A guest judge will choose the winner.
