The MacGuffin's 28 th  Annual Poet Hunt Contest Deadline June 15, 2023 Guest judged by Barbara Crooker. The contest opens on  April 1  and closes  June 15 . One (1) First Place Winner will receive a prize of $500 and publication. Up to two (2) Honorable Mentions may also be awarded and published. Each entrant will receive one  free  issue of  The MacGuffin  that includes the winners of the 28 th  Annual Poet Hunt contest. Past and present staff members and their families are not eligible to participate. General Submission Guidelines An entry may consist of up to  5 poems . If more than 5 are sent, only the first 5 will be considered. Each poem can be up to 400 lines long. Poems longer than 400 lines will not be considered. There is a  $15  entry fee. If paying by check or money order, please make payable to "SCHOOLCRAFT COLLEGE." Poems submitted may not be previously published and must be the original work of the contestan

. NUMERICA PRESS AUDIO POETRY PERFORMANCE CONTEST RULES:  Numerica Press is open for poetry submissions until May 2, 2023 for its first audio poetry reading contest. The winner will have a thirty minute solo poetry reading produced by award-winning performance artist, DRRTY BÄ’. Every poet who sends work, regardless of whether their poetry is selected for the virtual performance, will also have the (optional) opportunity to receive a complimentary tarot card reading from our press's resident divination expert just for submitting! Our debut contest is open to all poets who enjoy giving public readings, and does not have to be limited to spoken-word artists. CRWROPPS Post: UMN EK Writer in Residence

The Creative Writing Program in the Department of English at the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities campus) invites applications for the Edelstein-Keller Writer in Residence Fellowship in Nonfiction. This fellowship is a two-year position for 2023-2025. The successful applicant will be in residence on the Minneapolis campus for four semesters. While in residence, the Fellow will teach two creative writing courses (graduate and undergraduate) each academic year; will participate in creative writing events and committees, including admissions and graduate thesis committees; and will give a public reading of their work. This is a nine-month, academic year appointment serving two years (8/28/2023-5/26/2024 and 8/26/24-5/25/2025) with an annual salary of $50,000.
