CRWROPPS Post: Gordon Parks Museum Poetry Contest

The 2023 Gordon Parks Museum Poetry Contest   Sponsored by Poet, Helen Townsend and Trabar & Associates                           THEME: "Family, Home and Roots" This poetry contest is inspired by Gordon Parks and his love for his family and upbringing. This is open to any emerging poets. Poets are invited to capture the essence of the theme. Who can participate? Emerging poets of all ages and skill levels who have not yet been published in a book are invited to write a poem for this contest. How many photos can I enter?   No more than 1. Are there prizes? Yes! There will be a first place ($200), second place ($75) and third place ($50) prize and up to five honorable mentions. Winners will be announced at the Gordon Parks Celebration. Dear writers on the margins, Arkana , the journal of mysteries and marginalized voices published by the Arkansas Writers' MFA Program, is now accepting submissions for its Fifteenth Issue! CRWROPPS Post: Breakout Writers Prize

Submissions are now open for the 2024   Breakout ! Writers Prize for undergraduate and graduate writers. The prize consists of $1000 cash (each) for one prose writer and one poet and publication in the Summer 2024 issue of  Epiphany . This year's   contest   will be judged by James Cagney and   Manuel Muñoz . Submissions close on September 30th. All applicants will receive a complimentary digital subscription to   Epiphany . To apply you must have been enrolled in an accredited university, at least part-time, for the academic years 2023 or 2024. The prize is open to both undergraduate students and graduate students receiving a Masters degree. PhD candidates are not eligible.
