Submit to the 2020 Kurt Brown Prizes
 
AWP will award scholarships of $500 each to writers of creative nonfiction, fiction, and poetry this year to help them attend a writers' conference, festival, retreat, or residency. Our judges are Suzanne Farrell Smith for creative nonfiction, Angie Kim for fiction, and Shikha Malaviya for poetry. Submissions for the Kurt Brown Prizes are welcome through March 30.

A new season of the AWP Award Series is about to start! 2020 is a leap year, so you'll have one extra day to submit: January 1–February 29.

SUBJECT LINE: $500 Prize for 2024 Poetry by the Sea Book Award The 2024 Poetry by the Sea Book Award  for outstanding poetry collection of 2023 is now open for submissions.
