CRWROPPS Post: Call for Themed Submissions

Subject: Call for Themed Submissions

Golden Walkman Magazine is an audio-only literary magazine that has opened up to themed issues for every month in 2020. Each issue's theme was chosen by a guest editor who will also be selecting the pieces that we publish. Deadlines are the 15th of the previous month. Visit our website (www.goldwalkmag.com) for guidelines and a complete list of themes.

February's theme of Reverence was chosen by guest editor Brendan Walsh. Here's what he says about what he's looking for:

I think many of the dire issues we face as a species stem from a common lack of reverence for the earth, its creatures, and the little moments of ecstasy that arise from consciousness. We are weighed down by society's expectations, materialism, and mundanity. What if we took moments to revere this existence, this planet and our place within it, and the small communions we have with other humans and animals? I'm looking for work that applies the concept of reverence to anything and everything--what do you revere and how? Do you revere milkshakes or mountains, or the time you had a milkshake atop a mountain? Take your love for the world and rejoice in it.
