Nowhere Magazine has set its schedule for 2020, and we would love it if you could help us get the word out to travel writers and photographers—aspiring, seasoned and anywhere in between. We're even adding a new prize aimed specifically at new authors!

DATES:
The Nowhere Emerging Travel Writers' Prize: 12 a.m. January 15, 2020, to 11:59 p.m. February 29, 2020 (EST)

The Nowhere Spring Travel Writing Prize: 12 a.m. March 1, 2020, to 11:59 p.m. July 15, 2020 (EST)

Open Call: Words: 12 a.m. July 16, 2020, to 11:59 p.m. September 30, 2020 (EST)

The Nowhere Fall Travel Writing Prize: 12 a.m. October 1, 2020, to 11:59 p.m. November 20, 2020 (EST)

Open Call: Photography: Year-round

Attached is a more detailed description of each opportunity. The Contests page of our website (nowheremag.com/contests) will reflect details and an entry link only for the contest open at the time. The same is true of our Open Calls page (nowheremag.com/submit).

Subject:  [Open for Applications] 2024 Mountain Words Writer-in-Residence   I am excited to announce that the Mountain Words Writer-in-Residence program , is open for applications, with residency dates running May 1 - June 1, 2024 . It's pretty incredible: one-month holiday accommodation in Crested Butte, Colorado , and a $1,000 stipend. Apply for the Edelstein-Keller Writer in Residence Fellowship! Creative nonfiction writers, submit your application by April 3 March 1, 2023 Are you or do you know a published writer of creative nonfiction? The Creative Writing Program in the Department of English invites applications for the Edelstein-Keller Writer in Residence Fellowship! This fellowship is a nine-month academic year position 2023-2025, starting August 28, 2023. Deadline for applications is Monday, April 3, 2023. The fellow will be in residence on the Minneapolis campus for four semesters over two years, teaching two creative writing courses (graduate and undergraduate) each academic year. The fellow will participate in creative writing events and committees, including admissions and graduate thesis committees, and will give a public reading of their work.
