CRWROPPS Post: scholarships to writing conference
The Conference Fee is $695 through April 1. It includes a daily workshop limited to 12 participants, daily craft talks, publishing and editor Q&As, afternoon events, and five conference meals. MNWC offers several scholarship opportunities. Workshop Scholarships of $500 will be awarded toward the conference fee. Scholarship awards in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction are based on need and literary merit in order to lower financial barriers for writers. There is a scholarship for Minnesota residents. And we're thrilled to offer the New Poets of Native Nations Women's Scholarship. This full scholarship waives all fees and includes room and board. It is for any woman who is an enrolled member or citizen or descendant of an enrolled member of a Native Nation. We are also excited to announce the Charles W. Scrutchin Emerging Writer Scholarship, another full scholarship for any person who will be 30 years old or younger at the time of the conference and who is also a member of a community of color. Apply online between February 1st and February 20th.
