Greetings! Arkana, a literary journal of mysteries and marginalized voices, run by the Arkansas Writers MFA Program, is now seeking submissions for its 8th issue. We're looking for quality work that reflects our mission: to seek and foster a sense of shared wonder by publishing inclusive art that asks questions, explores mystery, and works to make visible the marginalized, the overlooked, and those whose voices have been silenced.

We publish fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, translation, as well as art, scripts, and illustrated narratives. Every year we nominate our writers' work for the Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net. We also promote our writers' work by featuring audio for the pieces in each issue and posting regularly on social media. All our writers' work will be considered for $50 Editors' Choice Awards.
