Hello,

I am the Program Director for the Writers' League of Texas, and, once again, we're holding a manuscript contest, with the winners in 10 categories receiving a registration to the 2020 Agents & Editors Conference ($400 value) and a one-on-one consultation with the agent who selected their manuscript as the winner. The conference is June 26-30 in Austin, TX, and brings 20-25 agents and editors to downtown Austin for three days of panels, presentations, and one-on-one consultations. Attendees and agents alike say the conference is one of their favorite events of the year.

The deadline to submit is March 10. Our past experience with this contest has shown that MFA students tend to be very competitive. We're unable to provide travel funds, but if anyone has been eying a trip to Austin, this could be a great excuse to take it--and get what one previous attendee called "the most productive agent exposure I've experienced at a writing conference out of several NYC conferences, Sewanee, and AWP experiences over many years."

Anyone interested can learn more here: http://www.writersleague.org/109/Manuscript-Contest. Questions about the contest can be directed to our Executive Director, Becka Oliver, at becka@writersleague.org or to our Contest Coordinator Sara Kocek (sara@writersleague.org).

I
Thank you,

Michael
