Find Your Sacred Essay Contest: Deadline Friday, May 15 | | The Center for Interfaith Relations is soliciting essays in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Essays should explore themes of connection, contemplation and common action in times of social distancing. The contest is open for one more week! Cross-genre work that investigates sacred themes are welcome, especially those exploring the intersection of the sacred and daily life. Featured selections will be published on our website. Manuscripts should be a Microsoft Word document between 500 and 5,000 words, double spaced, Times New Roman 12-point font, with no headers or footers. Include a cover page with author name and title. | | Poetry of the Sacred Returns Summer 2020 We at the Center for Interfaith Relations are looking forward to the 2020 Thomas Merton Prize in Poetry of the Sacred. We recognize that writers have a duty to capture a moment in time, and our current times contain a multitude of moments that are changing our world in profound ways. The Poetry of the Sacred contest will accept submissions throughout July, with winners announced in September. The winning poems and three runners-up will be published in the winter 2020 edition of Parabola Magazine. | | Find Your Sacred Book Club Update | | We are continuing to read (and thoroughly enjoy!)
