CRWROPPS Post: Submit to PRISM's CNF Contest with Judge Alexander Chee!

Hello friends!

Submit to our 2020 Creative Non-Fiction Contest with Contest Judge Alexander Chee! You have until July 15, 2020 to give us your best true stories—from essays to memoirs, to literary journalism and beyond!

Alexander Chee is the author of the novels EDINBURGH, THE QUEEN OF THE NIGHT, and the essay collection HOW TO WRITE AN AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL NOVEL. He is a contributing editor at The New Republic, and an editor at large at VQR. His essays and stories have appeared in The New York Times Book Review, T Magazine, Tin House, Slate, Guernica, and Out, among others.

Click here to read our rules and regulations and to submit!

In addition to our established practice of waiving submission fees for Indigenous writers, we are also extending this to include Black writers for both contests and regular submissions. Black and Indigenous writers are invited to email submission and cover letter to promotions@prismmagazine.ca

We also have a number of free entries to offer to low-income writers, and we encourage writers for whom the contest entry fee is prohibitive to contact us at promotions@prismmagazine.ca to arrange contest entry. As always, we encourage submissions from writers of colour, writers with disabilities, LGBTQQIA writers, and writers from other intersectional and marginalized groups.

We are also accepting regular prose and poetry submissions. Find our guidelines here.

Talk soon,

PRISM
