Dear Friend of the Center for African American Poetry and Poetics,
We are thrilled to announce an open fellowship position with CAAPP at the University of Pittsburgh: the 2021-2022 CAAPP Fellowship in Creative Writing.
The position is a two-year fellowship in a "creative think tank" for African American and African diasporic poetry and poetics, housed in a lively English/ creative writing program, beginning fall 2021.Poets who have completed an MFA or PhD with creative writing experience are eligible to apply, provided they do not yet have more than one full-length book of poetry or other creative writing published or under contract by the application deadline.
Applicants should upload a cover letter, C.V., writing sample of up to 15 pages to the application portal (link below), and have three letters of recommendation sent to caapp@pitt.edu by January 31, 2021.
