CRWROPPS Post: Starshine and Clay Fellowship

Starshine and Clay Fellowship

Cave Canem, EcoTheo Review, and LOGOS Poetry Collective are pleased to announce the Starshine and Clay Fellowship for emerging Black poets! Four poets will receive $500, paid reading opportunities, conference travel, craft consultations, publication in EcoTheo Review, and more.

The initiative is named in honor of Cave Canem elder Lucille Clifton ("won't you celebrate with me") for the mentorship she offered fellows during her tenure as faculty at the Cave Canem Retreat. As such, the fellowship is cohort-based and focuses on development and craft.

Gregory Pardlo will serve as the inaugural judge. Applications are open until January 31, 2021. Apply via Cave Canem's submittable page today!
