MVICW was founded with a belief that a supportive, creative, and nourishing community is essential for creating a successful writing life. For the past 11 years, our program has created true magic, giving writers the tools and foundation to connect on a deep level with their writing, to build a vibrant network of fellow writers, and to go forward from our program to successfully publish their work. 

Our Fellowships support a wide diversity of writers, providing time and support to Winners attend the MVICW Summer Writers' Conference, where writers participate in a week of seminars with daily workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction, panel discussions, manuscript consultations, and evening readings!
