If we haven't yet been introduced, I'm the managing editor for Nowhere Magazine, a New York–based literary travel-writing publication founded in 2008. We have set our competition and open-call schedule for 2021, and I was hoping you might pass word on to your degree candidates and graduates, as well as to interested colleagues and friends.

The Nowhere Spring Travel Writing Prize (US$1,000): 12 a.m. March 1, 2021, to 11:59 p.m. June 30, 2021 (EST)

Open Call: Words & Photos (publication only): 12 a.m. July 1, 2021, to 11:59 p.m. August 30, 2021 (EST)

The Nowhere Fall Travel Writing Prize (US$1,000): 12 a.m. September 1, 2021, to 11:59 p.m. December 15, 2021 (EST)

We publish long-form, resonant nonfiction, fiction, essays, poetry and photo essays—no lists, no guides, no fluff—penned and shot by a diverse cohort of artists. For some, Nowhere has introduced their first published piece; for others, we're a home for an outstanding reprint or an excerpt from a forthcoming book, or a way to share something traditional travel media simply doesn't notice. We read submissions anonymously, judge entries solely on merit and especially relish in discovering burgeoning talent. Thank you for helping us to find a home for the best travel storytelling out there!
