Beyond Baroque is proud to announce that applications are now open for the Linda J. Albertano Poetry Fellowship, a new opportunity for emerging women and non-binary poets based in greater Los Angeles.

Named in honor of the late Linda J. Albertano, a poet and legendary performance artist who worked closely with Beyond Baroque throughout her career until her passing in 2022, this new fellowship honors Albertano's groundbreaking legacy by providing support to new generations of poets.

Through this fellowship, Beyond Baroque seeks to nurture Southern California-based emerging women and non-binary poets who are interested in developing their artistic practice. Offered annually, the fellowship provides $1,000 in Beyond Baroque workshop credits, the opportunity to curate one event with a programs budget, and a paid opportunity to facilitate our historic Wednesday Night Poetry Workshop!

Applications for the Linda J. Albertano Poetry Fellowship are being accepted until March 27, 2024. The winner will be selected by a diverse panel of poets, writers, and performance artists.

Beyond Baroque will host a reading officially announcing the Linda J. Albertano Poetry Fellow on Saturday, April 13, 2024. More information about the event will be announced soon, and can be found at beyondbaroque.org and on social media platforms at @bblitarts.
