CRWROPPS Post: Borderlands Texas Poetry Review

Borderlands Administrative Director Borderlands Texas Poetry Review, an Austin-based poetry journal established in 1992, seeks an administrative director to oversee the day-to-day business and financial aspects of the organization. Per organizational bylaws, this is a volunteer position. Your time counts as an in-kind donation to the organization. Borderlands is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit.  Position Description * Create and manage administrative calendars * Manage finances for production and events, including budgeting, purchasing, and invoicing * Act as primary contact for insurance agents and banking services * In collaboration with Development Director and Production Director, prepare detailed income and expense budgets * Maintain and file appropriate federal, state and local forms related to 501c3 nonprofit status * In collaboration with Development Director, monitor administrative timelines and ensure deadlines are satisfied * In collaboration with Development Director and Production Director, act as liaison between organizations, vendors, subscribers, partners, supporters and other relevant parties * Serve on the Borderlands board of directors in a non-voting capacity * Act as liaison between the Board and lead Staff (e.g. Managing Editor, Production Director, Development Director) * Support the mission of Borderlands  Preferred Qualifications * Experience creating and maintaining budgets, income and expense reports, and invoices * Experience working with nonprofits in either a paid or volunteer capacity * Experience working with literary journals or related organizations in either a paid or volunteer capacity 8 Due to current funding requirements and plans for in-person events when it is safe to do so, residence within the greater Austin area is preferred  If interested, please submit a resume and cover letter by Monday, February 1st at 11:59 pm.
