CRWROPPS Post: The Poet's Billow

The Poet's Billow is accepting submissions for two prizes: the Bermuda Triangle Award and Pangaea Prize.

The winners and finalists of previous awards range from those publishing for the first time to those with multiple books and who contribute to McSweeney's and the New Yorker. In the past we have hosted readings at AWP to which we invite all our contributors. We also nominate for the Pushcart Prize, the Best New Poets anthology, and have had contributors as finalists for Best of the Net.

The Bermuda Triangle Prize awards three poems, by up to three different authors, $50 per poem based on the year's theme. The poems will be published and displayed in the Poet's Billow Literary Art Gallery. Finalists will be considered for publication. Deadline April 30.

Current Theme: Beginning

We are open to interpretations on the theme: person beginning, spiritual awakening, birth, endings as beginnings, the big bang.  Send us your interpretation however literal or liberal.

The Pangaea Prize is awarded for the best series of poems ranging between two and up to seven poems in a group. Judging will be based on poems as individual entities as well as their cohesiveness – that can be in terms of common themes, images, narrative or however else you would like to group your poems. All poems must be previously unpublished.  There are no restrictions to length or style. Deadline May 1.
