REMINDER: IACA ARTIST FELLOWSHIP APPLICATION DEADLINE IS NOVEMBER 7
Illinois Arts Council Agency (IACA) Artists Fellowship Program applications are now open in the IACA's electronic Salesforce system and have a deadline of November 7, 2022 at 11:59pm.
 
Artist Fellowship Program
The Artist Fellowship Program's intent is to enrich and strengthen the state of Illinois by supporting accomplished Illinois artists who are the foundation of Illinois' creative environment. The Artist Fellowship Program recognizes exceptional artists who have created a substantial body of work throughout their career by providing awards to support continued artistic growth.

This is not a project-specific grant. The AFA is meant for artists whose work is of exceptional artistic merit and who are at a career stage beyond emerging.

The IACA will provide a limited number of $15,000 awards across the following discipline categories:

  • Literature (includes sub-categories of poetry, prose, and scriptworks)
  • Media Arts (category includes audio art, digital art, film, and video)
  • Music (includes sub-categories of music composition and music improvisation)
  • Performance-Based Arts (includes sub-categories of choreography and new performance forms)
 
A limited number of $1,500 Finalist Awards will also be given.

Creative nonfiction writers, submit your application by April 3 March 1, 2023 Are you or do you know a published writer of creative nonfiction? The Creative Writing Program in the Department of English invites applications for the Edelstein-Keller Writer in Residence Fellowship! This fellowship is a nine-month academic year position 2023-2025, starting August 28, 2023. Deadline for applications is Monday, April 3, 2023. The fellow will be in residence on the Minneapolis campus for four semesters over two years, teaching two creative writing courses (graduate and undergraduate) each academic year. The fellow will participate in creative writing events and committees, including admissions and graduate thesis committees, and will give a public reading of their work. Subject:  [Open for Applications] 2024 Mountain Words Writer-in-Residence   I am excited to announce that the Mountain Words Writer-in-Residence program , is open for applications, with residency dates running May 1 - June 1, 2024 . It's pretty incredible: one-month holiday accommodation in Crested Butte, Colorado , and a $1,000 stipend.
