SUBJECT LINE: $500 Prize for 2024 Poetry by the Sea Book Award The 2024 Poetry by the Sea Book Award  for outstanding poetry collection of 2023 is now open for submissions. The Gutsy Great Novelist Chapter One Prize is awarded for an outstanding first chapter of an unpublished novel. First prize is $1,000; 2nd is $500; and 3rd is $250. The prize is open to anyone over 18 writing a novel in English in any genre for adult or YA readers. Winners will be announced March 29, 2024.

Dear Writer, Slippery Elm 's 2024 print issue is open for submissions, and we're looking for your work!  Prizes of $1000 will be awarded for poetry and prose, and all entries will be considered for publication. Michael Czyzniejewski will judge in Prose, and Paula J. Lambert  will judge in Poetry.
