Dear Writer, Slippery Elm 's 2024 print issue is open for submissions, and we're looking for your work!  Prizes of $1000 will be awarded for poetry and prose, and all entries will be considered for publication. Michael Czyzniejewski will judge in Prose, and Paula J. Lambert  will judge in Poetry. Subject:  [Open for Applications] 2024 Mountain Words Writer-in-Residence   I am excited to announce that the Mountain Words Writer-in-Residence program , is open for applications, with residency dates running May 1 - June 1, 2024 . It's pretty incredible: one-month holiday accommodation in Crested Butte, Colorado , and a $1,000 stipend. Open to all genres including poetry, non-fiction/long-form, fiction, and playwrighting/screenwriting.  Residency alums include Kaveh Akbar , Chelsey Johnson , Chris La Tray , Lee Anderson , Adam Valen Levinson , Bernardo Wade , Megha Nayar , Stephanie Maltarich , Claire Boyles , Harrison Candelaria Fletcher , Jenny Qi , Alessandra Bautze , Molly Murfee . 2024 BOOK CONTEST GUIDELINES THE DYNAMO VERLAG BOOK CONTEST invites book-length manuscript submissions in poetry, prose, or any textual combination or reinterpretation of the aforementioned genres. The winning manuscript will be published by Dynamo Verlag in 2025 and its author will receive a $500 advance against book royalties (paid upon and at time of publication), as well as our professional in-house editorial, design, and publicity services (an estimated $3,000 value).
